The interior of the church is decorated in Baroque style. The frescoes on the ceiling of the church were painted by the Slovenian Baroque painter Franc Jelovšek and the altar paintings by Valentin Metzinger. Most altars are baroque. Stonecutter’s equipment is also Baroque. The baptistery, the gift of the bishop of Ljubljana Tomaž Hren from 1611, stands in the presbytery. Due to the construction of a new road and the Fabiani Bridge in 2011, the City of Ljubljana and the Ministry of Culture ensured the restoration of all the paintings on the ceiling of the presbytery. The restoration work was conducted by academic sculptor Peter Mali, and the cleaning and retouching of the painting was done by academic painter Jasna Radšel and her colleagues. The church also has some of the most beautiful organs in our country.
