A couple of random thoughts I had that popped into my head this morning. The first thing is the reality of portability. I know that when I hurt my shoulder a few years ago, my definition of probability changed. I started looking for lighter and lighter items that I would carry with me. Moving to a rolling bag changed where I would be as well. I don’t have shoulder pain anymore, but it also means I don’t do stairs as often. I miss walking up and down stairs. The world of backpacks continues to evolve. I suspect I will return to a backpack again. Where you need to be, drives the type of computer carrying system you use. If you are walking from a parking garage to a building and then need to climb stairs the backpack is a better solution.
The other thing that popped into my head this morning was the reality of portable weather gear. In the past 20 years, I have owned four different home weather stations. The current Bloomsky is the system that shares time-lapse video. The other stations have been retired. One was a Davis system that was very useful and was the first station is used in Maryland. The other was an Oregon Scientific station I had in Indiana. The Oregon Scientific station had a temperature device that floated in the pool, which in the spring and fall is useful (knowing how cold the water is!). The integration with cellular phones allows newer weather stations to offer even more information.
I know the two thoughts in my head today are far apart from each other. It was more because I tripped over my computer bag this morning after lifting it and moving it yesterday. To get to the light switch in my office, I have taken one step into the room. This morning I tripped over where I had moved my bad too, I guess my short term memory (moved it yesterday, tripped over it today) is not what it used to be. The weather station is something I check every day, as that is the basis of my Yesterday’s Snarky Weather forecast on my youtube channel. I love sharing a time-lapse video of the weather. The snarky comments I make, are also something I enjoy doing!

waoo great nice post!!! ?
What did you like about it Hamza?
I don’t watch weather station but it’s raining season here in DEC.
I remember rainy season in Bangkok. It rained every day!
Nice post………..
Thanks, what did you like most about the post?
I rarely carry a briefcase when I go to work, except a handbag to unite my wallet, glasses, tabs, cellphone, etc.
I carry a backpack if I go out of town for one or two days.
I usually carry a backpack when I have to take the subway to DC proper. OTherwise it is rolling bag for me!
It seems we find our other something in common.
Another fun fact! Always fun to learn about other people!
Yes, Coach. Our similarity is about the bags we carry daily, but I don’t go to DC. That’s the thin difference of it.
If you would like, you can go to DC for me! 😉
In fact, it was very desirable, unfortunately, my wife could no longer make long-haul flights.
Sorry to hear about your wife and long flights. I can understand that, it can be a significant impact on a human being (long haul flights).
That’s okay, Doc.
She is even so nervous to fly more than one hour like Jakarta – Denpasar lately. She will grip my arm firmly, then sweat coldly and begin to feel pain in the joints.
That is a horrible experience for her. I used to love flying, then I flew for years, now I am in the middle.
Yep! It’s a little sad indeed, but, what I can say besides accepting it sincerely. I hope you remain in good condition to fly to all corners of the world.
Flying is still something I can do :-). All over the world, not as much. My travels now tend to be day trips.
I remember the days when cell phones weren’t as useful as they are now!
Snarky huh? That could make me smile.
Good to know! Sadly sometimes the only thing about the weather for yesterday that makes me smile is the snarky comments I make about it!
This brought back a memory. Dustin used to have back pain and we finally figured out it was his heavy backpack. This happens a lot with school kids.
Yes I used to try to get the twins to stop doing that. They wouldn’t of course.
my work bag was heavy until… I bought a new laptop that’s only half a kilo, so now it is lighter. yes!
Work out bag, I don’t have any.
Good for you, reducing the overall weight is critical!
yes… I am not getting younger….
I suspect none of us are getting younger!
oh yeah that’s going to be crazy when we get younger instead of older… lol .
I always figured that was my chance to redo the things I didn’t get to do as a child!
you are going back there if you are lucky enough. Me? i don’t like to go back to being a kid in a future.
