Squirrels have always one of my favorite critters to watch. For some reason I never see them in my yard. Had to borrow this photo from pixabay.
Growing up I would watch them in the trees. I remember seeing flying squirrels.
Squirrels have four teeth in the front of their mouth that constantly grow throughout their lives. This ensures that their teeth don’t wear down to nubs from gnawing on nuts and other objects.

Squirrels are very difficult to take a photo of, I have almost never succeeded.
My dog is the animal I spend the most time with!
I know, and mine used to be as well. Now it’s my cats.

Most what visit our garden I find them interesting I have a folder full of squirrel images including video clips. I have written a post about the bonding between the birds and the squirrel in our garden.
Growing up with the squirrels I have fond memories.
I have a squirrel who comes every day to eat bread and makes an absolute pig of himself.

I sometimes see some squirrels during my walks, but I have not yet managed to make a picture.
You have to be fast to get a photo. I remember them well growing up.
My Dad used to have a time with them getting in his bird feeders. He fussed about them.
Squirrels are very beautiful animals, my friend …. there are so many of them in our forests just to paint them is a big problem … they are very fast and restless

They are quick runners. I used to see them disappearing from one end of a path or road to the other side.

They are funny and should be as welcome as the birds to some sunflower seeds. (I guess)

At my previous place I was glad not to have them visit me in my yard – they can be annoying to vegetable gardens.

I like many animals. i have two cats right now but have lost dogs that I miss every day.
Dogs should never die. They are so special!!!!
Complete agree. I had a 14 y/o cocker spaniel that just left home after I lost my son. I believe she went looking for him. So very sad, lost both of my babies.

Oh I love squirrels too. There’s a big graveyard at the other end of my town, and there’s loads of squirrels there. People go in and leave food for them. Some of them come up to you and take the food too. I think they’re ever so cute.
I miss seeing these even though many complain about how they eat the bird seed!
