My goal/dream for spring was to take a photo of the birds in the blooming trees. Most blossoms are almost gone now and I have to put up with the photos I already took. If you have read some of my previous posts, you know that I am rarely satisfied with the quality of my bird photos. The birdies are moving quickly and they get scared easily, so I usually take these photos through my window from far away if I don’t want to scare them. I used a point and shoot camera to take the picture of these greenfinches in the blooming damson.

Question of
In your opinion, how important is the quality of a photo?
-
I don’t care about the quality.
-
The moment that is captured is more important than the quality of the photo.
-
The object is important, but a good quality photo is always more aesthetically pleasing.
-
Low-quality photos shouldn’t be posted online.

Thanks for sharing your perspective!
I prefers High quality images if I need to work with them…
other than that, a reasonably quality is fine …
at least I need to be able to tell what the subject is :p
Thank you for sharing your opinion!
Great photo, and poll! I personally try to post the best quality I can…but can’t afford cameras that take the best quality photos.
Thank you very much for sharing your opinion!
I matched the poll every time. I love the bird photo
Thank you very much, LaJenna!
Great post, really interesting poll I will be interested to see what the final results are!
Thank you! I have been curious too, because I have a ton of interesting photos, but the quality is bad. 🙁
So do I, but my family history project rule is share them all good or bad. It is the story that makes them interesting!
I agree with you, but when I compare mine to other people’s photos I just feel too shy to post them, haha.
I like the photo you took just keep on practicing taking photos. Experience is the best teacher.
Thank you very much, Pamela!
Wonderful photo! Thank you for sharing it with us!
Thank you very much for your kind words!
You are welcome! You deserve that.
I, like Carol, always look at the photos in advance. Basically, if you can not edit any one and have an interesting plot, post it. But this is rare.
Thanks for sharing your opinion, Elenka!
I am so into my photos, I look at them closely before I post. But this doesn’t mean everyone should.
Thank you for sharing your opinion, Carol!
I think it depends on the picture and the art value of it. A blurred out of focus picture can be artistic in a fine arts way, but some might not. Focused pictures are, of course, better and preferred, but if the main subject is focused but the background is blurred or out of focus then it still looks good. so, it all depends on the picture.
I think this picture looks soft, like a cute background photo for something, maybe a website or blog. it probably would have been better if it was focused, but it still looks cute because the subjects are clear, which include the two cute birds and the pretty plant.
Thank you very much for sharing your perspective and opinion, Fifi!
Images of birds are always great to look at.
Thank you, I love birds too!
The backyard of my relatives home has birds that come to visit to get their meals from leftover food we have to get rid of.
It seems that birds are always hungry.
That is true since birds must have large desires to eat food and drinks.
I wish these birds would just cooperate! Sometimes it feels like they have their own agenda.
That’s true! They don’t seem to care much about our photos.
