I continue with the challenge started by Ileana. The rules have changed a bit. This week’s theme is swans.
It is very interesting to observe swans feeding. Swan is a herbivore that feeds mainly on submerged parts of aquatic plants and algae, and on land likes to ‘graze’ on meadows. Occasionally there is an amphibian and invertebrate on his menu, especially an insect or snail.
The swan collects food – aquatic plants at the bottom of rivers and lakes – by immersing it underwater with its front part of the body and outstretched neck, while the rear part of the body looks out of it. On most major lakes and along rivers near towns and restaurants, swans feed on old bread and grain.

Sometimes I think they have no intention of stopping to eat. And I have to wait to shoot them.
You are right. Sometimes they are very insatiable.
Swams aren’t frequent here. That is a beautiful picture.
Thank you so much. We have swans on almost every lake. Therefore, I see them every time I walk by the lakes.
I learned something new. I have not seen many swans. Cool photo.

i love watching Swans, Ducks, and Geese feed. It is amazing to see them suddenly disappear underwater.
My favorite though are Herons. I love the quick movement and then gulp, little fish gone!
I agree. Watching them dive is really fantastic and fun.
It is, on the Bay when we are on the boat, we watch Osprey fish – they don’t swim and dive they literally fly and dive into the water!
This must be very interesting and fun. I would love to see that.

Swams are great. But I do not remember If I have ever seen one in real life. I do not remember.
Jaz jih vidim vedno, ko se sprehajam ob jezerih. We have swans on almost every lake.
I have only seen a swan out of the water! I guess I never really been around that bird much.
