It had been a long time since I made pancakes, so I decided to treat myself this weekend.
I made my pancakes with einkorn flour, so they weren’t super soft and fluffy, but they were delicious regardless. I also decided to add some apple chunks.
Do you like pancakes? What is your favorite topping?

I prefer sweet pancakes with walnut spreads
Sounds really god, thanks for sharing! 🙂
I love pancakes with cottage cheese
That’s a great option too 🙂
I chose sweet, but I really do like savory pancakes almost as well. I usually make mine with sprouted wheat and ancient grains (and a lot of ground flax seeds). Your pancakes look wonderful.
Your version sounds very good too! I still can’t get completely used to flax seeds, I usually put just a little bit, because I don’t like the smell very much.
I started out just using a little because I was off put by the smell, too, but when the ground flax bakes it really changes, so now I put more in. Now I even like 100% flax crackers.
I like using it in brownies, because cocoa masks it very well. I should experiment with it some more.
LOL, enough chocolate can fix almost anything.
Our local supermarket sells pancakes containing butternut and feta cheese – really nice!! (I seldom cook, as I’ve little spare time available.)
Sounds delicious! I also buy my favorite pancakes from a local store, but the only thing I don’t like about them is that they are too sweet.
I love Danish pancakes. Of course, then they are more desert than breakfast but I love them!
I’d love to try them!
They are amazing. I grew up with Ebelskivers, a round filled pancake as a child. We still make those on holidays and special occasions. But the desert pancakes are amazing as well!!!
What did you use to fill them with?
for Ebelskivers we have a special pan (I got mine 25 years ago!) you add a little pancake batter to the round space, then applesauce and the pancake expands as it cooks, making a round applesauce filled pancake. Yum! Some people roll them in powdered sugar when they are done!
I have seen these pans before. I wonder if you could make them savory and add cheese, for example, or maybe it will make a huge mess.
You could easily do so, I’ve found that it works with just about anything as long as the sugar content is low. Sugar tends to carbonize….
I actually prefer waffles, but the pancakes look good! Great post 🙂
Waffles are great too! Thank you! 🙂
I really don’t have any preferences, I make pancakes because its easier and never tried to make crepes before.
I find crepes easier to make. Thanks for stopping by!
Those are really beautiful. I like rustic pancakes.
Thank you very much, Ann!
It wasn’t popular in my country. However, I love munching if there is a chance. c”,)
I am sure that there are many other delicious treats. 🙂
I am sure it would be nice to put some jams on it. I am craving to have one now. c”,)
That’s true, they are great with jam!
During the old days, when I had worked with Western and European colleagues, they do love it and it made have pancakes with jams for breakfast.
Uuuhh… I love sweet pancake!
Me too, especially the fluffy ones!
I usually don’t have breakfast anymore…
I am very unproductive before breakfast.
I heard that. I am pretty useless until after lunch but then I am good for another twelve hours or so…
Love the pancakes Ellie! 🙂
Thank you so much! 🙂
You are welcome. And the pecans on the top are an added bonus! 🙂
I love them too and I think they go well with the apple.
I like pancakes, although here in Spain it isn’t very common to eat them!
Here in Bulgaria crepes are more popular, but I still love fluffy pancakes. Thank you very much for stopping by! 🙂
Love pancakes but not for my diet lol. Will maybe have some to celebrate my weight loss.
They are always a nice treat! By the way, you can search for pancake ideas for almost any kind of diet. There are flourless, eggless, dairy-free and sugar-free options.
Oh my!! Looks delicious!!
I love pancakes!!
Thank you so much! So do I!
Great idea, I love pancakes..
Thank you very much, Branka!
