The food in New Orleans, Louisiana is the best. They have festivals and events year round Always something to do there. I really miss the food and hope to be able to visit again one day. When living there you kind of take things for granted. What I would give to have some of the fresh seafood.
On November 17th – 18th of this year, the New Orleans schedule says to come for the gumbo, stay for the music — a weekend filled with fun at Armstrong Park in the heart of Treme.
A vegan gumbo contest with celebrity judges is a definite highlight. Don’t worry, if that’s not your style, there will be plenty of regular gumbo and lots of other festival favorites. Price of admission is free.
