A few hours ago, Alanda my youngest daughter just came out with her boyfriend when no more than five minutes later returned home. I thought that there were guests who came when I heard voices in the front yard along with the sound of screaming kittens. I didn’t expect that my daughter was coming.
While intending to see who came to visit at night, I also told my wife that I had to check where the loud baby cat’s voice came from. As it turned out when I opened the door, Alanda who was walking on the porch carrying a baby cat.
“It’s a pity for her, Daddy. Lying in the middle of the road without anyone with him there.” Alanda said. “I can’t bear to see it like that and I am very worried if she will be run over by a passing vehicle.”
“Geez…” I said, “Baby, please buy baby’s milk before you go.” I said begging Alanda, who from childhood I called Baby as the youngest daughter.
Really, I’ve never taken care of a kitten before. This baby hasn’t even opened his eyes.
Oh… Oh… Oh… The scream was very heartbreaking. She tried to find her mother’s milk in my palms and fingers.
I cupped the palm of my other hand to channel warmth and energy so she would be calm. Now she slept soundly in Susie’s bed which she had never occupied.

It’s really cute, you young kitten-friend you would not have been advised – I think you know more than I
Hahaha… So do you think I am more expert than you about the cat? Thanks
I think that’s a friend, you’re a versatile man
Oh really? I hope my wife realize that too… Hehehe…
I believe it – I do not want to comment on it
Hahaha … you are very careful, my friend, even on a joke.

Lots of good advice my friend so far. I will leave you with share the love with the kitten!
Awhh… that’s a cute friendship message.
🙂 It has been many years since I kitten entered our house. My wife (cat lover) is allergic now, so they are not often found in our home.
Actually, my oldest daughter was also allergic. For several years there was no pet in my house, but in the past years, nature seemed to have another will.
We’ve had dogs since day one (wife is not allergic to dogs, just cat dander).
Now I am sure you have received a lot of suggestion. So shall we call you a new daddy?
I am a Daddy… but now with ++
Yes, you have a new baby to raise. not bad.
Yep. Hehehe… Bonus of nature…
It has been a long, long time since I took care of any newborn kittens. That one is very cute.
I often keep cats (and dogs), but this is the first time to take care of a newborn without her mother.
My only suggestion is to keep the kitten away from any dogs or other cats that might see the kitten as an invader to their home. So far my relatives and I have adopted four kittens and had them fixed and taken care so they stay healthy.
Luckily, I will no longer be able to keep dogs, and there is also no dog around my house. But indeed, there are so many cats around me; Susie inside the house and Rocky, Giring, and Whitty at the porch. I’ll keep her safe from them. Thanks.
My pleasure since my sister told me what happened when she adopted a small dog who is a female mixed Black Lab and Rottweiler that had to kept away from the older cats due to her small size.
Something funny is that it turns out that adult cats don’t like or are afraid of baby kittens even though they are curious or feel that their territory is disturbed.
Thank you for sharing the information since what I know about cats and dogs is limited to them being nice to humans if the human is nice to the dog or cat.
Always glad to share information with you, Dee.
Thank you Albert for sharing these nice stories.
This happened to me once. The baby kitten even had the cord on it. I bought some baby formula,, and it was eating it. i tried to feed it every 2 hours at night, but when I checked on it one day later it had died. i was on medication and the last few hours of sleep I couldn’t wake up. Set an alarm for every 2 hours. it may have a chance if fed often.
You have a good experience about kittens. At least I will be more careful in caring for the baby. Susie was also present as a baby in my family, maybe two or three weeks old but at least she had seen and could drink milk and eat. Now, even though it’s not yet a year, Susie already has a boyfriend.
Sorry Albert. I was having problems posting the comment because of CloudFlare that Virily is using. I kept on pushing post comment and then CloudFlare showed up with a notice to try again later which I did three or four times. I never knew that the comment would be posted that many times.
That’s okay, dear friend. Over the past two weeks, there have been too many errors in Virily. So also a few minutes ago when I intended to respond to your suggestions immediately and post the blessing baby in the next post. Thanks.
My, my … just give it love… that’s all I can share … I’ve no experience with kittens …
Giving love is also one of the best suggestions!
Well all I have to add Albert is when feeding the kitten try it with a drop counter at first (just like when adding medication to liquid) or later with the smallest baby bottle with the smallest teat you can find. Yes give the milk at a warm temperature but not too hot. Test it on your arm first (just like for a baby). As for the constitution of the formula, I found on the web this recipe: 3 ounces of condensed milk, 3 ounces of water, 4 ounces of plain full-fat yogurt or cream and 3 large egg yolks (not the white of the eggs). Refrigerate. Do this formulation once a day and repeat daily until at least the kitten opens his eyes. Then you will have to see. Hope this helps you. You will be a great father or more appropriately in this case grandfather to this new addition to the family. Also sorry my avatar picture is of a wolf dog but it is a nice one, it won’t hurt the kitty cat.
O, my dear friend… Thank you for this detailed input.
I am just a little confused about the formula. I thought she drank very little milk, so, if I made the mixture in large quantities at once, was it not too much and will be wasted?
I can’t find a baby bottle with the smallest teat for her this time, hopefully, tomorrow. Does anyone sell it for baby kittens?
I still haven’t decided to be her father or grandfather.
Oh God I do not know if kitten bottles are sold. The site where I got the info from specifically said to repeat the mixture every day. Maybe because the kitten is so small you can reduce the ingredients by half to start with so that you do not waste too much. Although I find it hard to believe that the formula will degrade if kept in the refrigerator. You will have to become a father again Albert and decide what you think is best. Sorry about that. I wish I was there to help you. But at least the kitty drank, that is a good start. It also seems that one of her eye is opening on one of your beautiful pictures on your next post. So I would assume that he or she is reaching 10 days old with this eye opening.
OK. So, I will make one daily mixture, as long as it’s still good for consumption.
Yes, one eye has opened a little. It could be this is the tenth day for him.

Zaklina has offered great advice for you Albert. Warm and safe are the two important things to remember. I found several articles online to help as well.
Here is a link that may be useful:

And another article for you… http://www.vetstreet.com/kitten-basics-101-taking-care-of-your-new-kitten
You will be a great father… good luck and ask questions. There are professionals on here, like Zaklina to help.
You behave like my wife and my two daughters who always mention me “Father” for Popeye and Susie, now also for Giring and this baby.
Seeing her eyes that aren’t open yet, she must not be ten days old right?
How cool to know I am relatable to your family with the father preference. Yes it sounds like at least ten days old. Maybe you should take it to a vet doctor to get it all checked out.
This afternoon her eyes were opened.
Yep, I will take him to the vet doctor.
Really, information from this site is so valuable. I don’t know much before.
I am truly filled with blessings tonight! First when the baby kitten comes, the second is that two women who are full of love give advice, input, and information that is very useful. Thank you very much, Carol.
How kind. You can tell we love animals and to see you trying to save this baby makes us all want to help. I hope things are ok today with the baby.
Yes, I thank you all for kindness. She’s okay but actually, her sister accompanies now. Alanda just brought another one from the same place of the road. The nights will be longer for me.
First of all, keep it warm and safe. Make sure to feed it properly. If there is no baby formulas for kittens, give it warm milk mixed with cream and egg yolk. You need to feed it every three hours, in the first time. Kittens open their eyes within ten days of their lives, so you’ll be able to determine how old is your kitty.
I feel like the moon falls on my head knowing that the pet goddess is the one who gave me the first advice. So blessed! Thank you, Zaklina. Baby has bought baby milk for children aged 0-6 months, and according to your advice, I will mix the milk with cream and egg yolks. How about the composition?
Ahh… Unfortunately we don’t know how old the baby owner of this divine blessing is… Unlike Susie who came into our family after her eyes opened.
Great! This baby had so much luck to find its way to your home. 🙂 I am sure you’ll give your best to keep it alive. Regarding your question about milk, I’ve never measured components, just mixed one yolk, a tea spoon of cream and enough milk to make it less dense, and that way easier to feed the kitten. If you don’t have proper nipple, use the smallest plastic spoon (for espresso). If it’s possible, keep the little one close to your heart, that calms all babies, no matter of species. 🙂
Even I consider it a blessing for us, O goddess of pet.
If I mix her milk according to your recommendations, how long will one dough run out? Or do I need to make one new mixture for every three hours?
Yes, I use a small spoon with a diameter of 1 cm to feed it.
Now it looks like she is getting used to sleeping in Susie’s fluffy beds, and it is indeed warm.
Sorry for being off and missed your question. I gave you proportions for the small amount of baby food, so you could avoid to waste it. You should warm a small amount of it before feeding and keep the rest in the refrigerator. I’m not sure for how many meals it would be enough, but when the baby eat all of it, make another mixture. 🙂
That’s okay, Zaklina.
I have given her food according to the formula you recommended.
Btw, now another baby has joined.
Splendid! 🙂 You received the blessing of the pet goddess. 🙂
Thank you so much, O goddess of pet.
It’s a starter kit for a crazy cat person. 😀 Handle with are and love. 🙂
However, that is a very useful starter kit for me, both to be crazy or to be a cat lover.
I told you you were blessed. 😀 How’s the kitty going? Does it eat the formula? Are you satisfied with her condition?
They’re going okay. Now she’s accompanied by her brother too… and they both are healthy.
I’m so happy to hear this. 🙂 You’re a good man, my friend. 🙂
Well, even though they cut down my sleep time. lol
Only for the first few weeks. 🙂 Later, they will make it up to you with all their love and devotion. 🙂
Yes, I know Ma’am. They grow so fast… Soon they’ll run so quick to welcome me home…
