Visiting the Royal Vineyard really impressed me so I have to show you another picture. It’s a beautiful view. In the foreground is a vineyard, behind the vineyards is a sea with islands. The history of the Royal Vineyards begins in 1066, when King Peter Krešimir IV of Croatia. donated this land near Petrcane to the Benedictine monastery of St. Mary. In 1072, one of the nunnery sisters decided to turn this soil into a vineyard, and thus began the process of creating what is now known as the Royal Vineyards. For centuries, high quality wines have been produced on this earth with a specific aroma originating from the roots of the hard Dalmatian soil in which the vines are planted.

This is very cool. It amazes me how many posts I miss. I have to go back and play catch up.
Thank you. There are a lot of posts here so it’s no wonder we miss out
Nice picture, I love vineyards.
Thank you very much.
This place is truly gigantic Wonder what name wine made from these grapes would have
I visited the vineyard again and really did a different picture. The picture also shows the sea and the background of the mountain.
i love the vineyard picture!! this one is different than the first you shared, shows the size better (huge vineyard!)

Many Dalmatians and Croatians immigrated to New Zealand and planted vineyards. I grew up in Henderson West Auckland and there was many orchards and vineyards owned by people from former Yugoslavia.
I am also from the former Yugoslavia (now Slovenia). Some Slovenians have also moved to New Zealand.
I would not be at all surprised….New Zealand is a good place to live and we are getting many types of people immigrating here.
instead of polluting the planet, we should be finding ways to reclaim deserts…
Unfortunately, I do not believe that we will succeed. It looks like we can only destroy nature
we can help the planet as well, but our leaders choose to do the opposite
I believe we can reclaim the desert and turn it around into fertile ground. I did some Geography for the 6th form and they had a way of doing just that.
In any case it is well worth giving it a go.
Thanks Alex
it is worth doing, and it would help the entire ecosystem, but nobody wants to spend money to do it…
Yes, well I agree with you Alex….
In my former employment, our boss introduced me to an Israeli farmer who has a vineyard in the desert. It was amazing to hear his stories about his vineyard.
I believe so. I have a friend who has a vineyard. I’m happy to visit him because I always find out something new.
Fantastic view of the vineyard and the sea in the background, dear Vida
Thank you, Lado. The view is really unique
I hope the grapes are as sweet as the picture, dear Vidocka
It’s very good, I tried it
Only it was good … that’s what matters most
What a beautiful view and a great place for a vineyard. Love the photo.
Thank you, Carol. I agree, the view is fantastic
I have never visited a vineyard but would love to one day soon.
Visiting the vineyard is a special experience
