I have neglected ALibb’s Alphabet Crazy Challenge. Trying to stay caught up. I chose Nandina as I am on the letter N for today.
There are many varieties to choose from. Mine are called Blush Pink Nandina. They do not get very tall. And they offer a pretty color in the spring through fall. They are actually more of a burgundy than a pink color.
The contrast between the mature leaves, which are a rich shade of green, and the new pink leaves, is striking. From spring through fall, these green shrubs are topped with pink leaves!

Blushing leaves…what did you say to them?
I saw it at an ornamental plant seller but have never had one.
Happy to hear you actually saw one, many have not.
Maybe because the place where I often get lost is a plant shop…
Makes sense to me. 🙂 Enjoy shopping for plants.
The leaves definitely have some captivating power in them
Thank you very much!
Boy, it sure changed quickly. Love the color in fall the best. You sure do make me want one.
Yes it did Kim, I love this one. You should get some.
You know, I haven’t touched the front yard. Since the back yard is full…. Boy, they would look great between the walkway up to the front door.
I love these, our neighbor (well four houses away) has these on the side of their house.
Thanks, I like the dwarf beside the front steps.
our neighbor has them in a row along the side of the house. They are amazing!
I love the colors and textures of the leaves. We don’t have them here.
Thanks, I love this one in the garden.
They look like croutons of which we have many colours.
I really like these in the garden and need to plant more.
Beautiful leaves and colors. I have never seen this plant.
Thanks, it seems nobody else has seen it either!
I did some more research and found they are native to China, Japan and India.
Maybe that’s why she doesn’t see her in our country.
Lovely plants and I like the colors, I have never heard of or seen them before,
Thanks, I love these as they turn in the fall.
I haven’t seen anyone here that has heard of these plants.
Such a beautiful plant, I didn’t know its name.
I love these, I have the dwarf and the bigger ones too.
So I guess you have seen them before perhaps.
I believe I have, but it might be something else that looks similar.
This is quite an attractive and different looking plant. I do not think I have ever seen these in my corner of the world. I am beating you at the alphabet challenge. I just submitted the letter P today.
Thanks to you. I love this plant and it is green during the spring, and lots of color right now in the fall. I am so behind. 🙂 Good to see you.
To me, this plant is completely unknown, dear friend … but it’s beautiful
Maybe it is only in the US. Thanks!
It is totally unknown plant to me!
I love the sone, it changes colors over the season.
I just read this plant is active to Japan, China and India.
I have never seen it. It looks beautiful.
Thanks, it is a favorite of mine.
I just researched more on this plant and it is native to Japan, China and India.
Wow, it makes it a rare plant in the world.
No – this not a plant that is known to me. It is certainly attractive, though.
Thank you, I love the colors on this one.
