Sharing this photo with today’s Black & White Friday challenge. Captured this mockingbird perched on my deck privacy fence.
Always love seeing the different species of birds in my yard and deck. The mockingbirds are amazing. The will imitate sounds they hear around them. I have talked about them before. I learn something every day in nature. So much to offer.

I love this Mocking bird it is really something
Calls. Northern Mockingbirds make a harsh, dry chew or hew when mobbing nest predators or chasing other mockingbirds. Mates exchange a softer version of this call during incubation and nestling periods, or when the female leaves the nest while incubating
Yes, I hear them all through the night on top of my house!
What a great picture – if that diamond ring don’t shine Pappa’s gonna buy you a Mockingbird!

A wonderful bird. I had a problem today when logged throughout the day. The page started working only in the evening

I’m glad we’re all back online! Another great photo. I don’t believe we have any mockingbirds in our area.
I know, I just wish we had an explanation from someone as to why we were offline so long. You would know if you had mockingbirds. They are very loud.

I rarely see the bluebirds any more, kind of sad.
Yup…and posts. There are many times I want to add something after a member makes a comment/suggestion.
Hopefully there will be changes soon. All we can do is hope. 🙂

Thank you for saying that. Probably this winter to take baths when it is freezing. And then I hope back in the spring for babies. First year with no babies in 9 years! 🙁
