Ljubljana is home to the largest Christmas tree in Slovenia. It was erected in Prešeren Square, donated by Bežigrajan and is 18 meters high, weighing 4.5 tons and decorated with about ten kilometers of light. It is a real attraction for locals and foreign tourists alike. The 800-year New Year’s decoration, entitled Cycle, is a retrospective of the late work of the late author Drag Modic, who is also the author of this year’s sculptures and primary units, and was erected by his son Urban Modic.

How beautiful. I think I remember this tree, not the same picture. But you shared this tree with us last year right? It surely is wonderful. We have one that the city decorates, but it is nothing like this. Excellent!
Guess what I saw last night on my drive home. A tiny four door sedan had a real Christmas tree on the top of their car. They were not just transporting it, it was standing erect, full of lit lights! I started laughing, it was so funny.

They had so many straps on that thing, all with lights as well. I was shocked they could get it to stand up. I bet they didnt go anywhere very fast. lol You know they had to have a since of humor for sure.

i understand that – I stay away from downtown Washington DC when they are lighting the christmas tree.
