it seems like there are some strong opinions on my untitled kokoshnik piece… when you do such a tight head shot, there really isn’t any room for a background. generally my solution for this is to go abstract, since the background shouldn’t try to compete with such a detailed foreground

It’s gorgeous either way, but I chose abstract. She stands out more.
exactly, she shouldn’t have to compete with the background
I chose the abstract because the blue colour suited her best and was best with soft lighting.
it does the job, no more and no less. she’s doing all the heavy lifting here anyway
Hard decision … I decided to abstract
thanks for making the effort
Went with ice, doesn’t cover her features.
still gotta try that watercolor effect
I like the abstract, with the ice a close second. I also prefer the head shot to a full body shot. Nice work on all regardless.
thanks for covering all that
I liked all the shots so it’s hard to say which one I liked most 🙂
it is okay if you can’t pick a favorite
i like forest, but the other three are also good.
The differences are very subtle…
I knew the evil forest would grow on you
it is acceptance of reality. I have been Ledanted.
oh wow, I’m a term now? wasn’t ready for that…
The process of accepting fear of trees, to be Ledanted. 🙂
They are all great so I will abstain from voting this time … it would be interesting to see a little more of her body …. I need to have a beautiful figure
don’t worry, you were still helpful
My wish will come true, my friend?
I haven’t determined that yet
I would go with # ICE
thanks for participating
They are all nice but I think I like the forest one the best.
thanks for helping out…
I am an enthusiast of photography and I have been taking notes of the points in your posts.
I tend to use a two point rig, with a strong rim light and a weaker but more diffused key light…
