The weather seems to have gone from winter to summer. Spring has been missed so far. The 93 degrees is keeping me inside today. I got out earlier and checked on the bluebird eggs, gave the birds fresh water and came back inside. Between the heat and the high humidity the inside will be where you can find me. And how did we ever make it without ceiling fans! I have one in almost every room. And they are used especially this time of the year. It also cuts back on cooling costs. And I sleep better with the circulating air from the fan.
So that is how I keep my cool. I know, most of you probably could have done without this post. But I shared it just the same. For the others with hot temperatures out there, remember to stay hydrated and keep your cool.

Wow, 90 degrees already? Here it’s been 70s and stormy….there are chances for storms all week too!
Yes it seems spring skipped us!
We have been experiencing above normal temperatures for this time of year. I have not been complaining much because I would rather have it hot instead of cold. Brrrr i hate the cold!!!!!
I think most people are experiencing out of the norm temps. I can handle the cold better than the heat.
We were having nice springtime weather for a month or so here in SoCal, but then we had a heatwave followed by a solid week of winter type flashbacks
Roller coaster weather there too. It seems to be everywhere.
Surely it has nothing to do with climate destabilization, because there is no such thing. Don’t let the overwhelming evidence fool you…
I have never been convinced from the beginning of Al Gore’s “speech”.
Trusting a politician is one thing. Ignoring the consensus of pretty much the entire scientific community is another thing altogether
Absolutely agree on your stance.
I like your butterfly ceiling fan.
Thanks Bradley. I love it as well. Palm leaves is what it reminds me of.
But butterflies are even better. 🙂
Thanks, my ceiling fan that keeps me cool. 🙂
Last week at work it reached 104 degrees, the same day here at home it was 84. The last few days its only reached the low 60’s. Humidity is 62%. Im freezing. lol
Wow maybe we all are skipping spring. The 60s are my favorite. 🙂
I hope not. Hard to tell under this marine layer here. Im freezing one day and turning on the air conditioning the day after.. Wonder we all don’t get sick.
I completely forgot to say I love your fan!!
No problem, thank you Kim. 🙂
87 degrees but only 47& humidity, today is a lot cooler

my weather station’s video of yesterday’s weather!
Those numbers are better than mine Doc.
We have much cooler air today, plus two days of rain.
it was up in the 80’s in Indiana but I don’t mind the heat as long as I’m in the shade
so I smashed some alum cans to sell & worked on some crafts outside most the day.
That is a great way to pass the time. A great hobby you have there.
Have you posted about this project?
I have a few things I’ve done I’ve posted but either no one is looking or
interested in what I have made for the past 2 yrs to sell.
I am sorry, I have never tried selling anything but I am sure it takes time.
yeah well things will change for me when I get
my projects in the public where we live, cause
being we live in a small low income area things
will kick off like I need them to, I just have to get
the stuff I need to make more projects to sell.
I don’t know. I didn’t stick my nose outside today except once to throw some gray water on a flower pot. I think the weatherman said it would be in the mid-seventies today, and that seems about right.
That sounds great to me Barabara. Another hot one here 90+ today.
We usually have a heat wave here around the week of the 20th. I remember the heat was awful the day of the night when our best friend commit suicide in 2003. One seems to remember every detail of such times. I notice it is usually in the nineties or higher as that anniversary comes around each year. then, after that few days of heat, the temperature goes down again until the hot summer.
Yes I know what you mean, it was freezing when I lost Dustin, in December right before Christmas.
This year’s weather is different than usual, I hope it cools down some.
I hope, for your sake, it cools down, too. I’m so sorry Dustin’s death came just before Christmas. It would have been bad any time, but when it’s so close to a holiday like Christmas, it becomes like a shadow over that holiday forever. Our friends at church lost their young teen sun in a car accident on Dec. 23. The presents were wrapped and under the tree. They had two other children, both younger, who didn’t really understand, and one asked who got to open their missing brother’s presents. For several years after that, the family took a Christmas vacation trip out of the area so that the setting would at least be different.
Yes, I lost him on December 9th, the tree was up, presents bought and wrapped. As if it wasn’t enough to deal with. Christmas will never be the same. Then a few years ago I lost my sister on Christmas day. A change in scenery is the best solution it seems.
Well, it was 16 to 17 degrees centigrade here in Gatineau, Canada. But I must say I already miss the winter because I know summer is near and I think it will be very hot and humid (probably as high as 30 to 40 degrees centigrade with the humidex) as it happens often enough here. But at least today, it was comfortable with the hint of a slightly cool wind, just enough to keep me happy.
The wind always helps to cool things down a bit. Enjoy your day.
The only thing I can share is that my city is always in the cool weather all year round. We don’t have four seasons. c”,)
Maybe I should look into moving. 🙂
I think that would be a good idea, my friend. c”,)

Thanks for the weather report Elenka. Humidity looks low, that is good.
Hot or dry season in my terms or summer in your terms seems happens for all of us, or at least we both.hehe…
For both of my daughter and wife, their rooms are the best place to stay by relying on air conditioning except they need something from the kitchen. Hahaha…
Gotta have it cool and low humidity personally. Yes we can all relate.
My ceiling fan above in the photo stays on most of the time! 🙂
I have to admit that your ceiling fan design is beautiful. Hope it’s durable for that so important to you.
Thanks Albert, it is great. Some use this type for outdoors but I enjoy it indoors. Very durable.

The humidity is the only thing I recognize and it looks high.
It’s warm, 20 degrees, sparse, it’s falling down, so it’s great humidity
OK, got it, thanks! Have a great day.
It was quite warm a few days ago, but now it’s raining almost every day now and it’s a little bit cooler.
That sounds like my kind of weather Ellie.
Unfortunately, when the weather is crazy like that, there are hail storms. But I like the peaceful spring rain.
Yes the spring rains are the best.
Well our summer is about 90-95% humidity. We have a heat pump but its too expensive to use all the time. Its like breathing in warm water.
Spring and Autumn are the best times of the year
Winter is OK but its very cold and damp. So 1 degree is like -40 degrees below centigrade. Its also too expensive to use the heat pump all the time.
If you are wealthy, well, money doesn’t matter to some. However, the bill of heating or cooling is far too high for most people.
Half of Auckland population suffers from Asthma or Hayfever. Its the weather conditions, and yes we do have some pollution but nothing on the scale of other countries.
I did not know all of this Pamela, thank you for sharing and stay cool and warm!
