My daughter is a special person (in the cover picture with Fran). I am really proud of the person she was and is. We started thinking about, researching, and considering adding a second dog to our family many years ago now. She and I got a lot of input from a lot of people. But in the end, it came down to what we needed both as a family but also the type of dog personality we had to consider.
In the end, we picked Labradors as the breed.
My daughter picked yellow.
i found a breeder in Fort Wayne Indiana (about 2 hours away from us) and she sent us a picture. My daughter picked Fran in that picture.
5 weeks alter we drove up to add our newest family member. Fran who was playing in the yard with her brothers, separated from the pack ran over and bit my daughter playfully.
They were best friends from that point on.

i agree, they bring pure love to the family and that is so important!
I believe if you have an animal it needs to be part of the family and very well cared for.
Mind you, care for the animal, cat or dog or bird or other and that animal will also take care of you…
