This is the view from a wall in front of the lifts at a hotel with carved wooden console tables and mirrors. What concerns us about it is the presence of plants there.
That tables and mirrors are certainly more expensive than the plants, but they are just facilities to put something that lives there. The presence of the plant certainly makes the atmosphere different. Imagine if the plant is not there, what impression do you get without it?

they purify the air, but I am uncertain if they do a better job than opening the windows does…
I think they already do their job well so far, but maybe could be more if Harry Potter involves.
don’t get me wrong, plants always make a room look better but I am thinking practical benefits..
I have no problem with your thinking at all. I think even if we live on different planets, our minds will stay connected and our thoughts will continue to harmonize.
I wouldn’t mind living on the moon…
It will definitely be interesting and fun! I am even willing to live in another galaxy for my curiosity and keep sharing experience with you.
well when are we taking your ship out for a spin?
The ship is always ready in its place. Have you prepared a fixed address on the moon?
no point to a fixed address on the moon right now. you’d be better off with a beacon or GPS…
Very well, then I think we better go by teleport and keep in contact by telepathy.
two technologies we really need to invent
Yes, teleport must invent by science and technology while telepathy by…
I know cactus will absorb some negative ions (like computer radiation or such) … not so sure about other plants … my mum bought me one to put in my room near my computer, but I killed it…
don’t know why … but it just died… :/
I’ve black-thumbs I think
Owh… I just found out it was from you (or your mother)… Interesting knowledge. Do you think feng shui (if you know and believe it) cactus is good for indoors? Because I have heard that plants with thorns should not be placed indoors.
Unfortunately, the cactus’s died, so you can’t ask it directly on it, Ehrrr… I mean so that it can no longer reduce negative ions. Maybe the cactus is lacking sunlight or too much water?
Hmm… let’s see if I can get a spirit medium to help you ask the cactus… LOL :p
Anyway, my family is not very into feng shui, but my grandma is, so sometimes she would prepare items for us to be placed somewhere in the house (usually only during CNY for a “good start”)…
I’ve heard that thorny plants have their use like chasing off evil stuffs … not sure though… hehe
Wow! I will be patient waiting for your answer which is helped by the spirit medium, that is for sure.
I think the essence that thorny plants have their use like chasing off evil stuffs is very impressive!
Yeah, you need to be really patient… lol
Hmm… you might want to double check that info tho, coming from a person who is not into feng shui xp
I have plants in the room, because they are decorative and bring in life
That’s great reasons, Branka. Bring in life and beauty. Just perfect.
I just moved in so no plants yet but I’ll get a few soon! I just have to make sure they are pet friendly!
Just move is the understandable reason, Michelle.
Pet-friendly is an important consideration.
May I know why you think indoor-plant is needed?
INDEED I REALLY IMPRESSED ALBERT 🙂
Thank you so much, Hamza. Your comments impressed me as well.
Yes indeed, plants always bring a sense of life in a room.
Strongly agree. With or without consciously we do need a living presence “inside” our room.
I knew just by the wallpaper it was a hotel! (more than 1200 nights in various hotels around the world makes it easy to identity hotel walls!)
I am impressed with your expertise in recognizing something, especially related to hotels. Even though the wall is not covered with wallpaper but marble.
I recognized the color 🙂 THanks, Albert!
Hahahaha… Thank you so much, Doc.
Brings oxygen into the indoor air. Some can inspire, some are said to bring bad luck, some are said to bring wealth. The main reason why I love indoor plants is that they are pretty.
Yes, Kim. You’re right, of course, it brings oxygen into the indoor water. About bringing bad luck or wealth, that’s like in fengshui in the Chinese approach and I can understand the reasoning behind all those views. Thanks for your input, Kim.
I have a bamboo plant that my son got me, it is meant to help inspire my writing. That is according to my son.
So, the first point here from you is that the “living” plant can inspire us. That’s great, is not it?
