Seeking the door
we push towards what
we assume is the entry
but there is no door. We move to the side
careful not to
knock over the food and flowers
but the door is not there.
We are bound to the door
for entry
and backing away
we cannot see a door.
How
do we gain entry to this dream?
We cannot knock if
there is no door. We
cannot entry
without a handle to turn
the doorknob our path to entry
and egress.
But here, in the home of the spirit
there is no doorknob to turn
no door to push open
or wedging our shoe in
as it is gentle opened
to sell brushes and vacuums.
There is no door
in the house of the spirit.
Those words are so true, but it is not until you see there is another option that you can get in. As they say, “Knowledge is power!”
Ah, the reality of understanding! Thanks Pam great point!
I would never venture to enter a home of the spirit but rather look for the window if doors do not open
“When God closes a door, he opens a window”
What if there is no window? what would you do?
Trust in God He will not only open the window but provide one if there is none – Faith can move mountains
I find the journey to be impacted by the faith we have. But each of us has different faith.
A wonderful place. I would spend some time here.
Thanks! it is a newer poem i got tired to dusting off the old ones.
Great song … it happened to me that I was looking for the right door … I walked from door to door … and it took some time to find the right one
The right door is the answer!
In life we are always looking for the next door. Some are easier than others to find and open. Great poem Doc.
thanks that is very true, sometimes in seeking doors we forget to stop
looks like a really deep and good abode of spirituality here
it is a place of deep spirituality!
