I chose to work at home today. Indeed it still requires times but at least I don’t have to spend time experiencing traffic jams.
The weather was quite bright until after we had lunch, even the air was very hot outside. Around 3 PM a strong wind seemed to bend the trees until a moment later thick clouds filled the sky. Since yesterday I have been wanting to surround the neighborhood, and this afternoon I thought maybe I would do it around 4 PM, but seeing the cloud, I stopped the job and decided to leave the house for a while before it rained.
While taking pictures I walked. There is also a desire to take pictures of lightning that are increasingly crowded around me. It wasn’t until twenty minutes I walked the drizzle started to fall, and that meant I had to go home. Just when I arrived at the yard, heavy rain fell. Ah… I have been lucky not to get wet. But it turned out that heavy rain accompanied by strong winds was no more than ten minutes! Should I go back to work, or just continue walking around or just take care of my garden?
Truly, I laughed at myself for what I thought and planned, as well as its relation to the weather which changed my mind and plan. But what was clear this afternoon was that the sky was very beautiful and entertaining, especially before sunset!

Well, changes don’t usually alter my plans, but when it does I try to handle it. If bad weather would cancel the Christmas gathering, that would really hurt my soul, but the change of the date to celebrate would hopefully help.
You have done the right thing, dear friend. We really need always to be ready to face the change and handle it well and wisely.
Weather has already changed my plans … I do not do a lot of plans
That’s really how nature and weather work in our life…
Uhhh… I also rarely make plans except for work.

We should be flexible and change plans according to the conditions. However, to be honest, most of the time I am not like that…
What do you mean by “not like that”? More planned or just flowing?
I mean that I get stressed when things don’t go according to my plans.
Oh, I see… Many people experience the same thing, my friend.
And at a time like that my brain is arguing, and one there always reminds me, “Why should it be like that?”
You are right! I guess that the first step towards change is realizing the problem.
Yep! You’re right, Ellie. Thank you for your comments and thoughts.
It’s always a pleasure to read your posts!
I try to make a plan and stick with it, but I get derailed more often than I’d care to admit…
I think that’s one reason why life is so interesting…
I’d like some more boredom in my schedule, at least until I get caught up on my backlog…
That is your uniqueness, brother.
I am not the sort of fellow who stays bored
Weather usually does not affect my decisions my friend
You are a person who is very steadfast in his stand and on a plan, my friend.
Glad you hear you made it before getting drenched. I would of gone back out and taking water drop pictures.
Your sentence is similar to what my family said yesterday.
I will visit you to see the picture.
Awe, well, great minds think alike! 😉
Yup! Indeed I admit your great mind, Kim.
The weather does cause me to make changes like taking a break and take up other work like playing baseball on the Nintendo Wii.
It’s good if we can do it happily, and not be afraid of the risk of loss because of making changes to the plan.
It is always good to have a back up plan.
If a backup plan is needed, of course. If not? Just flow.
Thank you for sharing this advice.
I have pretty much accepted that we are going to have roller coaster weather all year. So I try to always be prepared. Glad you made it home before it got too bad.
We know that we cannot fight nature so we must adjust and be prepared at all times.
Thanks, Carol. Yes, my family was also worried about me yesterday due to very dark clouds and horrible lightning.
Absolutely. Just roll with it, like everything else in life.
Thanks a lot for the advice, Ma’am.
Yes, the weather has changed my plans too in the past. If it rains, sometimes I change my mind and stay indoors. But, sometimes I have to go out in the rain if I have to go to work. =(
It seems that nature does teach us to always be ready to adapt to change.
Oh yes weather has often changed my plans. But what the h… I always found something else to do. Nothing is too important that you have to brave the elements or not. The only time when weather really bothered me was in 1998 with the huge ice storm that we experienced and power loss for about two weeks. That put a kink in my work schedule as no buses were running and I do not drive. But all in all since there is nothing that we can do to shape the weather, you just have to adapt and roll with it without getting upset.
I really agree with you, dear friend.
Wow. You really have a great experience about how the weather changes your plan!
