Hummingbird ~ Black and White Friday

Photography is a passion of mine. I see a lot of incredible photography on the site. But I also see copied images. It makes me wonder if I am sometimes wasting my time using my original photos. I will continue using only originally photos for now.

But the day may come where I am done. I spend hours sometimes to get the right photo. Then I get online and see others posting images copied in a matter of seconds from the internet. Oh well, we all have our passions I suppose. Just venting.

Captured this tiny hummingbird on the fence recently. A rare opportunity as these tiny humminbgbirds are usually on flowers or the feeder.

  1. I find myself torn with this issue often. I have far too many pictures to ever share the whole collection. But sometimes the internet has a picture that well makes the point better.

Great question and thoughts Carol. I would have to say that i am not set on either side.

    • Yes and I also have used Pixabay photos on occasion. But not for every single post. I just have to vent every now and then. It builds up as I look round and it has to come out. So I am done for now.

    • I am not accusing anyone of stealing. There are legitimate sites, like Pixabay (which I use sometimes) that offer their images for anyone to use. I am just venting that sometimes that is all I see.

  2. I am a blogger and yes, I get photos from free sources like Pixabay. I want to use my own photos for my own blog but oftentimes those photos that I have don’t match my contents. That is why I need to get photos from other sources.

I am planning to have a travel blog but I need to buy my own camera.
