I love Christmas. The magical waiting that usually overloads my mind and heart when the evenings get a little longer is such a beautiful feeling, so good, warm, and wonderful.
Gift lists, looking through thick recipe books, gingerbread cookies, hot chocolate cups that warm up hands, romantic movies, slow-twinkling lights on the Christmas tree, long-awaited Christmas songs…
We all have our own holiday traditions. My favorite traditions include soft gingerbread cookies. They smell like Christmas – ginger, cinnamon, cloves and the wait for the holidays… With winter approaching, with the temperature bar behind the window dropping down, when the evenings getting longer, and the Christmas tunes ringing more and more at home – this is when they are most delicious.
As my assistant once named them, these are goodness’ cookies.

Gingerbread cookies are wonderful. They do fill the house with the smell of Christmas. We do have many traditions.
