As I snapped photos of one of the last roses for the year in the garden, I was reminded of a song titled Chiseled in Stone. Yes it is a sad country song but for some reason it came to mind when I took this photo of the rose and Dustin’s memorial stone in his garden.
A few of the singer Vern Gosdin lyrics…
You don’t know about lonely……..Or how long nights can be………Til you’ve lived through the story……..That old man just told me…….And you don’t know about sadness………Til you’ve faced life alone……..You don’t know about lonely……..Til it’s chiseled in stone………You don’t know about lonely………Til it’s chiseled in stone
