Sharing a bluebird given to me as a gift by my son Dustin. I treasure it every single day. He told me to keep it close and I would always be happy. And that is what I am doing.
Today is the day I lost my son many years ago. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of him, of course. He sends me signs. Bluebirds, butterflies, and many other things to let me know he is always around me, and of course forever in my heart.
Never take those you love for granted. We do not know what tomorrow holds. Enjoy the little things in life and all of those you love. Tell them you love them every chance you get.
Bluebirds are a beautiful bird, agreed?
Life should not be taken for granted, correct?

i am so sorry Carol. I know that you find solace in Bluebirds, but also that they remind you of what was. I cannot tell you how many people you help by being open and sharing the pain.
you are my hero!
Appreciate your kindness and support Doc. It never gets easier. No matter how much time passes. I hope I can inspire and help others. I have often felt that is my purpose to still being alive and surviving.
You are way too kind and it means more than you know. Thank you for being a friend.
One more thing. Dustin gave me this bluebird while I was in the hospital years ago. He was about 10 or 11 years old. He told me if I kept this close to me, I would always be happy. That is when my love for bluebirds began.
wow I will never look at a bluebird the same again.
you inspire me and many other people! My dad always said “make one person smile that is a good day. Make two people smile and you have a winner!”
How kind was your Dad. And full of wisdom. You are also an inspiration.
We need to cherish every moment that we have with our loved ones because life is short.
Yes that is the truth for sure.
I never knew about this tragic incident. I wish you could get over this but in reality it’s hard to forget your loved ones.
You never ever get over losing a child Suny, you just learn how to get through it.
You said it exactly, Carol, “you never get over it, only through it.” Sometimes it is a mystery how we even get through it. Someone once said to me, imagine you could zap entirely your memory of your son, then all this pain would go away. But I said, no, how could I give up those sweet memories for a life without pain?
Thinking of you today especially, my friend. Keep those memories close.
So good to see you my friend. Sad but true, we continue to learn how to get through. And we are survivors. We will get through to tell about it and hopefully help others. Thank you as always, and you do the same.
A special gift! Our loved ones always live in our hearts.
Thank you, it is special above and beyond!
What a beautiful gift. I know you cherish it as it is tied with precious memories.
Yes it is one of my prized possessions for sure.
Very nice memory with thoughts … I’m with you, dear Carol
Thanks Lado, I appreciate your kindness.
It’s the least I can do for you, my dear friend
Just know your kindness and support are always appreciated.
I’m sorry for your loss. But you are a strong woman and you tolerate it. I know we have good and bad days, but we all survive.
Thank you my dear friend, you never get over it, only through it.
Survivors are what we both are. Have a great day.
Very nice photo, i love blue birds.
Thank you Robin, this was a special one.
