Begonias have been around for ages, and with good reason: This easy to grow annual does well in a variety of conditions and needs little to thrive. Provide it with light shade, rich well-drained soil, ample water, and plenty of fertilizer and you’ll be rewarded with stunning flowers and foliage. With so many different shapes, sizes, and colors, begonias have no problem taking the spotlight in any garden setting.
This one was in the garden of my neighbor. I snapped a photo while visited a couple of days ago. It was about five feet tall and still in bloom at the end of October. Love the color on this one. The only ones I have ever had were indoor potted plants.

I love this flower. It has beautiful colour.
Once cared for this flower, it really requires a lot of watering. Amazing shoot!!!
My neighbor is an amazing gardener.
I used to run around with some Maori children as a child and we ate Mum’s begonia’s. It did not hurt us…I love them and they are easy to grow here.
Oh my, I am glad it was not poisonous!
I love the color, had some like this but they always die in summer for me when it gets very hot here.
I loved the color as well Dawn.
I have pink and white ones here that are still blooming. It looks like they are about done though. Beautiful flowers that don’t require a lot of attention!
I have always had mine indoors.
Wow, I’ve never brought them indoors. I think in the past I was always working and by the time I got home at night, I would forget to water them, etc. So I never had good luck with many plants inside.
This is beautiful, I used to grow them but its been many years.
My neighbor is an amazing gardener.
I have a similar one in my garden which I have just multiplied. I have several pots of that and yes they are all blooming.
I have always had mine indoors.
The color of this begonia is very bright.
In the room, the plant must make the room lively.
I was surprised Albert to see it in such bright bloom this time of year. We are in the fall of the year. But her garden always offers something to see. She keeps it outside.
I have begonias on the terrace. They will slowly stop flowering now.
She said the same, hers is outside for now.
That is a very lovely begonia,
I told her the same, she has many little gardens all around her home. I love visiting her.
I grow begonia in a pot. It is pink in color! Yours is beautiful!
This is my neighbor’s. Never seen one so big.
