Azaleas ~ Nature Tuesday

Surprised my azaleas are still blooming. They usually only last a couple of weeks. But thankfully they are still in my garden. I love these blooms. The blooms and color takes me back to days gone by. My Mom’s favorite color. Spring is a great time of year.

The butterfly bush is starting to grow in Dustin’s garden as well. In a few weeks the butterflies will be here, just in time for the blooms. The day lilies are also budding, it won’t be long, more flowers will be blooming. Still lots of roses blooming every day.

Flowers are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty out-values all the utilities of the world.  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

  1. Very beautiful blooms that look similar to our lilac trees which bloom in lilac and white color. Unfortunately our lilac trees have not started blooming here and only last one to three weeks max. Nonetheless, the fragrance of these trees is very relaxing.

    • I also have lilacs but they are more of a pink. But they come in different varieties. Mine only last a couple of weeks too. And you can smell them all over the yard. I had one lilac transplanted from the front to Dustin’s garden last year and it bloomed this year. Was so excited! It blooms before anything.
