1. Have so many notifications and no the deletions don’t get deleted when they should

2. I suspect there are several options (first I agree with your idea!) Right now we are limited to the number of notifications presented by the system. Being able to say display 300 on a single page would at least make this faster.

   The one that I think would be the most valuable – would remove all notifications that aren’t actionable. That would be guest views, upvotes, etc. Mark those on the side of the notifications as an update.

   What I am saying – show only comments in the notifications.

3. I do delete all messages before I write a blog by using the read button. It does take time though.

4. very good suggestion although I clean my notifications everyday it still takes a minute, I mark it as read.

     • if you get behind, it is easy to get buried. I get around ten pages worth of notifications a day, so if I were gone for a week or two it would take a while to sort, without the delete all feature

9. I delete notifications when they reached a certain number. So I have no issue with these notifications. But it’s a good suggestion.

12. I am also having that kind of problem right now, but I usually try to mark read items that do not require a reply.

13. I just mark as read in bulk, and they are gone at once. Don’t you see that option? I check the top notification, then click mark as all read, and it is a faster way of deletion than one by one. Hope this helps.

    • That only affects the 25 notifications on that particular page though, LaJenna. If you have more than 20000 notifications it is no help. Personally I stay on top of notifications, as it is the only way to be sure that you respond to comments by others.

14. It is very much needed. Deleting item by item is time consuming and boring.

15. I asked a long time ago. It is something they may reconsider. It gets cumbersome to read sometimes with them popping up. Did you send a private email stating why you think it would benefit the site?

16. I basically never had that problem as I delete all the older notifications above 25 since I started here on Virily. But it would be a great suggestion to Virily to add a delete all as I understand that by now it would take forever to do so with your notifications. Please go ahead and send them a lot of messages because as you know Virily is slow in reacting or contacting anybody back.

17. I used to delete all notifications right away, as they were coming.
    Now I mark them as read. I guess they will add up. ?
    Yes, it would be useful to have an option to delete them all, if they happen to become so many. Setting an expiration date for notifications (those that have been read) could be another option, like other sites do.
