This reminds me of my parents’ home that was more than 30 years old with dilapidated walls and leaking roof. It was sold for a cheap price.

Poor birds if only there was more we could do. I love seeing them outside my window on the cable and when a lot gather they sing so wonderfully.
-
yesterday was the children’s led climate change marches all around the world. I hope we can do many things.
The number one killer of birds is climate change.

Something I don’t like to talk about, being such a bird lover, but I have to say cats and humans are the top culprits. Turbines are to blame as well.
-
No question turbines kills birds. But that is on the order of 300 million in the entire world every year.
Cats are more than 9 billion birds killed a year globally.
Climate change, per the studies, maybe more than 20 billion a year.turbines are chump change but yes they do kill birds.

This is scary information, my friend …. otherwise your president is less interested in caring for the environment
-
one can hope he will read the studies and change his mind!
The young lady that led the global children against climate change marches yesterday said the following:
“I don’t want you to listen to me. I want you to listen to the scientists!” -

Some species in particular are decreasing in number, it doesn’t feel we’re running out of pigeons or seagulls. But very sad nevertheless.
Birds are important for the ecosystem, like all animals anyway.
Cats hunting mice sounds like a urban legend but I actually heard of cats doing so, they were former strays but it could be something in their genes that gives a predisposition. -

I heard today the horrifying statistic that on Java (Indonesia) there are now more birds in cages that there are in the wild. Catching birds for the domestic market is big business, and we all know how money is the main factor in so many instances.
-
the current study says there are 2.9 billion less birds in the US since 1970. Other than humans (we are 3 of the top 4) the 4th is domestic cats.
Yet our president says over and over “wind turbines kill birds.”
