The most beautiful place on the Slovenian coast has grown on salt. Piran saltpans, where today, according to the old procedures, the top salt water flower is created. The old port city with the remnants of the medieval wall is completely protected as a cultural and historical monument. Piran has a medieval design with narrow streets and tightly compacted houses. On the hill there is a very beautiful Baroque church of St. George.
