The area surrounding the Parthenon is loaded with stray cats. As I was taking some photos, this one came up and demanded my attention. I played with it for a bit and then placed it on one of the ruins where it dutifully posed for me.
Editing was done with Luminar Flex. I used the Develop filter to increase the contrast, shadows and clarity and decrease the highlights and whites. I applied the Accent AI, AI Sky Enhancer, Details Enhancer and Denoise filters and used the Structure filter to decrease the sharpness a bit.

Such a pose him or her gave you. Very photogenic cat. Maybe lots like to take his or her picture.
I just put him on the pillar. The pose was his idea. 🙂 Getting a cat to pose is impossible.
When I was up there I didn’t notice anyone else interacting with them. At least this one was very friendly.
Nice looking thanks for share
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.
Lovely composition and I am not surprised the cat posed for you
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.
it is a bold look for that piece…
Thanks, Alex. I’m glad you liked it.
it is a nifty bit of postwork
Here in Torrevieja Spain there are stray cats by the sea. They are also beautiful, but unfortunately no owners.
When I was in the Costa del Sol (Benalmadena Costa) there were both stray dogs and stray cats. I loved how they just wandered into the restaurants.
Beautiful cat indeed, thanks for sharing
You’re very welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Nice it let you touch it Our home groomed cats do not like being touched.
The cats were very friendly. This one came up to me. I sat on the section of pillar and it climbed on my lap. Then it posed for me.
That photo with the cat looks photoshopped because who would think that cats live in the Parthenon. What do these cats eat while roaming the ruins and loving the sunshine? I remember many years ago my late husband’s son lived in Cyprus and when he went to visit he told me along the seashore there were areas with lots of rocks and stray cats would lie on the rocks to soak up the sunshine.
There will be plenty of rats and mice round there, especially with all the bits of food that tourists must drop all the time!
Like Indexer said, there would be a lot of rats and mice there, not that I saw any. At any rate, the cats up there seem to be well-fed.
