Zinnia – Order Asterales : Family Asteraceae : Zinnia elegans
Editing was done using ACDSee Ultimate 2020. I decreased the exposure a bit and increased the contrast, clarity and vibrance. Then I adjusted the levels.

Nice flower. I’ve never seen something like this.
This flower is very beautiful.
Thank you, Milica. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Beautiful flower and lovely photo of the Zininia.
Thanks, Pamela. I appreciate your kind words.
great shot Gary! Thanks for sharing with the cold around this warmed the day a little!
Glad to help. We’ve been in the 40s here but it’s supposed to drop next week. I think I’m going to work on some of my beach photos.
beach photos sound wonderful to me
that is a lovely flower and great coloer
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.
I loved mixed colors plants
Especially when the colors contrast like this.
My mother used to grow Zinnias .
My mother also grew them when I was a kid. We had a large yard at the time and she grew a lot of stuff.
What zinnias I just wonder
Gorgeous color Gary, love these blooms.
Thanks, Carol. I had completely forgotten about this photo. It was sitting in my unidentified flower folder. I have to take a closer look at that folder.
Love it when I find these nuggets I forgot about.
I’ve been working on scanning my slides and negatives. I have more than 20,000 of them and I’m finding a lot of stuff that I had completely forgotten about.
Zinnias are show stoppers in any garden. I had these.
They aren’t all that common around Chicago. I wonder if our growing season is too short.
Not everything blooms for long periods everywhere. We have issues with so many flowers.
That’s very true. It’s not just temperature, either. The soil is also a huge factor.
Very beautiful and undemanding plant. My mom always had it in the garden.
My mother used to plant it along the driveway and it grew so much that my father couldn’t get the car in. He took shears and cut them back. Well pruning them only made them grow more.
I don’t think Dad was happy because the flowers were growing even more and hindering him. ?
He wasn’t. Every week he was back out there with the shears.
