The flower was in a garden in Chicago, Illinois.
Cornflower AKA Bachelor Button) – Order: Asterales : Family Asteraceae : Centaurea cyanus
Editing was done with Luminar Flex 1.1. I used the RAW Develop filter to increase the contrast and clarity, decrease the highlights and open up the shadows. Next I added the Accent AI filter and used the Tone filter to lower the SmartTone. Then I used the Saturation / Vibrance filter to increase the vibrance a bit and cropped the image.

Lovely flower. I have never seen or heard of this one.
I had to get help from the Flower Identification group on Facebook to know what it was. The funny thing is I remember my mother had Bachelor Buttons in her garden when I was a kid.
