I decided to post some of my old photos and I’ll post one photo every day. Today it’s an old church from my hometown, my uncle was a priest there for several years. What I really loved was this alley with all those wonderful roses, I used to go there every day just to watch and smell them ?.
Have you seen something similar? To me it was a very peaceful and beautiful place, I hope you like the photo ?.
Roses are my favourites, I just couldn’t help it ?.
I agree that it is a peaceful and beautiful place in extraordinary photos.
Thank you, Albert! It is a nice place and I love watching this photo, it brings back happy memories ?.
I can understand that, dear friend.
What a lovely old church and the roses would be very special
Thank you! It’s a special place and people living there love those roses ?.
Itsbeauty garden the flower is say
Thank you! I’m glad you liked the photo ?.
love the flowers – great capture as well.
stopping to smell the flowers is something we should all do from time to time!
You are right, I usually do this and it always makes me happy. A simple thing, nothing extravagant ?.
Do you stop and smell the beautiful desserts you share as well?
Absolutely! ? I use lots of fruits and this makes them smell awesome.
Good to hear! Sometimes you have to stop and smell the Apple Treats!
Stunning view, well maintained garden. This is such a lovely picture.
Thank you! And it’s all thanks to my uncle, when he arrived there the church was on the verge of collapsing, but he worked day and night to restore everything.
Hats off to your uncle, he has made this place a place of beauty and serenity.
Thank you on his behalf ?. Yes, he did it and he is also a wonderful person. I’m glad he’s my uncle ?.
nice mural on the second floor
Small church, but I always loved it. The paintings were restored, almost all of them, the colours are really vivid now ?.
I hope the new artist understood what the old one was doing
He did ?. He managed to restore the original colours and left alone the parts deteriorated beyond repair. Quite expensive, but we knew it will be.
that’s good. it really sucks when someone with no business restoring takes on a job they can’t handle
This is a beautiful photo, look at all those flowers. Gorgeous!
Thank you, Carol! Next time I go there, I’ll take some more pictures ?.
It looks beautiful! All that flowers!!
Yes, it was awesome to walk between all those roses. And the perfume… amazing! ?
Very nice photo, thank you Gogata.
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it ?.
Beautiful and sweet smelling alleyway. Those roses blooms are absolutely gorgeous. The church also looks very nice even though it seems old. What denomination is it if you do not mind my asking?
I don’t mind, it’s Christian orthodox. The church was built around 1850 and it really showed its age, but my uncle was able to restore the paintings after a few years. Everyone was very happy he did it.
Majoritatea bisericilor din Romania au flori la intrare. Minunati trandafiri. Imi place si pictura de pe exteriorul bisericii.
Biserica era intr-o stare deplorabila cand a venit unchiul meu acolo. Intai a rezolvat curtea si gradina bisericii, apoi a refacut pictura, dar poza e facuta inainte de asta ?.
Beautiful roses, I love such roses in garden
I do too. My uncle transformed the church and its yard completely, when he arrived there everything was in a terrible condition.
