Singapore’s National Environmental Agency is infecting these male mosquitoes with a bacteria called Wolbachia and they are being released at different locations to deprive the mosquitoes of their ability to lay eggs.

Singapore Government senior Official said in an interview , In the hot weather, mosquito populations increase dramatically, resulting in the spread of dengue virus and for this purpose, the government has set up a laboratory where 5 million mosquitoes will be raised each week. Those that are infected with bacteria will be released to eliminate mosquitoes from Singapore in a short time.
