I am continuing with the 365 Photos Challenge and I am now on Day 77.
Pecan pie is one of my favorite desserts. I have others, like cheesecake, etc. But pecan pie holds a special place for me as my dear Mother and Grandmother always cooked these special pies for all of the holidays and sometimes for birthdays. Thanksgiving and Christmas were never complete without a piece of their divine pecan pie. We had relatives with pecan trees, so we almost always had pecans. And sometimes the pie was served with a dollop of vanilla bean ice cream. Not the healthiest food I know, but in moderation it completes any meal.
Pecan pie is my favorite pies.

This brings back happy memories. My first slice of Pecan Pie was at my brother Peter’s house in Gainesville, Florida on Thanksgiving day 1973 His wife Becky made it from scratch using pecans that fell from a tree in their front yard. Absolutely delightful!

It is a pie Elenka, with lots of pecans and brown sugar, very good.

Pecan pie is my sister’s favorite pies. I have grown to love it too. I put a little cool whip on mine. Yum yum
I love pecan pie and it is a little sweet with anything added but still good.
