Holy Cannoli
Heaven found Boston’s North End
Coffee Pastry Love.
Today’s Haiku is a tribute to a different kind of artisan, the Italian bakers at Mike’s Pastry in Boston’s historic North End. Since 1946 Mike’s Pastry has served delicious cookies, cannolis and other pastries with fresh brewed Italian Expresso coffee. Our family first discovered the Hanover Street bakery after visiting historical sites on Boston’s Freedom Trail. Mike’s Pastry is in walking distance of Boston’s Old North Church where revolutionary war hero Paul Revere signaled the Minute Men that the British Army was coming by hanging lanterns from the church steeple. Paul Revere’s home and an 18th century print shop are also in walking distance of Mike’s Pastry. Their cannolis are a form of culinary poetry worthy of this Haiku tribute.

That’s very kind of you to say LaJenna. I think anything that encourages folks at Virily to use their creative energy is a good idea.
Your are a natural Haiku Poet. I use to write on Associated Content, and I got most inspirational writer. I got a certificate too. I think we should have contests here, and have awards like that one maybe at the end of the year. What do you think. I enjoyed your superb Haiku poem.
