Kathy took this photo of our daughter Violeta with me in 2007, back when Violeta liked having her picture taken. Now she’s a beautiful but very camera shy eleven year old. Violeta is a very spirited kid who loves drawing, reading, animae, cosplay, swimming, hip hop and techno music. Her favorite subjects in school are social studies and art. She hates math but does her best. Violeta recently started reading The Hunger Games Trilogy & has set a goal for this year to read Dante’s Inferno, Lord of The Flies, and The Tokyo Ghoul Manga series. I remember when I was in college reading a book by Maria Montessori called “The Absorbent Mind”. That is a perfect description of Violeta.
