The Difference Between Dogs and Cats

<a href="https://www.friendsofanimals.org/news/2016/april/foa-bolsters-spayneuter-programs-four-organizations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Source</a>

Some people prefer dogs, others would rather have a cat for a pet. I doubt that the question of which is the better option will never get settled to everyone’s satisfaction but this might help.

The Short Version

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

A dog knows that you are the boss. Tell your cat that you’re the boss and it will give you a look that says, “Wow, are you ever stupid.”

The Long Version

The dog says to itself, “My owner feeds me, he gives me water, he even takes me on walks and picks up my poop. He must be god.”

The cat says to itself, “My owner feeds me, he gives me water and cleans out my kitty litter pan. He even dangles my toys in front of me. I must be god.

Make your choice.

    • Our current dog, a mutt we got at the city pound, is surprisingly smart. He’s probably the smartest dog we’ve ever owned. He’s part chow, rottweiler, German shepherd and black lab. We found a list of the smartest breeds once. The breeds he’s made up of are 1, 2, 3 and 10 on the list.
