I have been writing about the bluebirds in my backyard. The last blog entry talks about the five eggs laid Bluebird Blog Update. Tomorrow will be day 12 since the last egg was laid. That means egg watch begins. And you know what that means, right? The eggs will start hatching and we will see baby bluebirds soon! A very exciting time in the garden. The Mom and Dad bluebird are in the tulip poplar tree nearby. They are on high alert, in and out of the box rolling the eggs. They know it is almost time. Amazing isn’t it?
I will get as many photos as the bluebirds will allow. I try not to bother them too much. But they are tolerant if I am only in the house a few seconds. They start flying right over my head if I stay too long. Of course I will keep you posted. The watch begins on day 12 (Thursday), but it could be day 13 or 14. When the eggs are ready, it will happen. I hope to be there with my camera to catch the miracles.
I have already seen the little Carol. You are a good and caring hostess for your friends the blue birds.
Yes you have and it continues, thank you!
I have to admit, at first I thought this was a tech post and you were using a new watch shaped like an egg.
Then I realized it was a bluebird post – fingers crossed!!!
Ha you are so funny Doc. Always technology driven. So far so good!
Dad jokes rule! Just don’t ask my children for verification on that…
The kids never think we are as funny as we think we are. 🙂
Well, this is an exciting time. A good prayer for their protection is going up for them.
Yes indeed it is, thanks Pamela. 🙂
Well just prayed you catch your miracle on camera for us all to see.
Thanks it will take a miracle.
I think we’re gonna have to call you Mama bluebird from now on!
Ha! I have been called that in the past by friends. That works for me. 🙂
Lovely birds! I love summer time and their song! It’s just awesome!
Thanks Elena, I always have them in their houses each year to raise families.
I’ve been waiting for news about five eggs for the past few days. Hopefully, soon we can see the cute birds present out from its shell well in a few hours.
Thanks Albert. I did not want to bore anyone with this either. 🙂 Today is the first day, we will see. Fingers crossed!
Maybe I will not be able to hear their voices being first-time, but seeing all five is a miracle!
I know, and you know photos are coming soon.
Oh yay! Can’t wait to see them, that is so cool that they trust you.
I know, I can feel it is happening very soon Kim. 🙂
I’ve got my money on day 13
We will see soon Alex! Thanks for joining in my excitement.
This is such a beautiful capture! I love your bluebird posts!
Thank you so much Ellie. This was a rare shot.
Today may be the day it begins Ellie. 🙂
That is so cool. I love watching nature.
Thanks, these are the highlight of my spring each year.
