let down the draw bridge
empty the moat
now the peace
spreads like molasses
sticky
everything slowed
as peace spreads
(slowly)
The guardian watching
as the peace flows
overall
flattening the great mountains
filling voids
sticky
do you hear
the sounds of peace
birds that sing
as if free
today the peace
tomorrow the molasses
but always, the guardian…
You should always wear your spiritual armour 24/7……..
Never leave home without it!
Very wise, this is a good guardian…..
Thy guardian resides in you. The bridge is in the mind and the peace is in the heart ?
Yes, within each of us, but guarding us from what?
From the illusion of our self ?
what we see versus what others see.
Great picture and another beautiful song
Thank you!!!! it is from a long time ago.
Another great song, dear friend
Thanks! I keep looking at the old poems wondering why I was so sad, angry and frustrated. Then i remember, I was young!
Younger years … my mood swings from good to bad … you obviously had a bad moment when you wrote this song
I had a really tough time for a couple of years. Lost a friend (suicide) and it really was hard to get past.
I believe this was a tough time for you … I also had some difficult moments … my friend died in my hands when he fell down with a motorcycle … and I could still list it … so I understand you
I am so sorry for that. There is trauma around us sometimes.
It’s true and it’s easy just to get used to it, dear Doc … you do not get used to somehow accept this fact otherwise you can suffer very much and leave you long-lasting consequences … I was kind of tolerant … I always thought that I could next
I remember years ago reading the works of Jean-Paul Sartre. I found no solace but understanding in his view of the world around us.
This is the most important thing … I also never sought comfort … to find understanding of the situation … because I think so
Love the osprey nest wow! They are such cool birds.
And the poem is great Doc.
Thanks it is really old (i was 15 or 16 when I wrote it).
Talented from an early age.
I suspect more hoarder than talented. There were many poets that went to school with me in college that were so much better than I.
Good poem , thank you for sharing
Thanks I am glad you liked the work.
Mmmmm, I like it! The photo is cool too, lol silly bird. That’s no place for a nest that big!
it is a really old poem, I just didn’t have a better picture than an Osprey!
It fits perfectly, the Guardian…
thanks. I thought about it for a while. I finally said just be Nike. (Just do it)!
