Last [post and poll will send this to the admin team. Based on that, I have included the yes button feel free to vote for all the ones you think are important. But, please only use this one is most important to me, twice. If you select something as most important, please let me know in the comments. I will subtract out all the votes by people that don’t comment and remove those before sending it to the admin team. We need to show solidarity, so signing our names to things is critical!
The un-Moderated view is a view of all new posts that are not currently moderated on the site. Doing this lets authors publish without requiring the admin team to moderate the posts. However, there are two provisions. The first is that the jobs will stay in the unmoderated category until something happens. My suggestion to make this simple is to include a button at the bottom, when you comment, to approve the post. Tying post-approval to comments shows two things, one that you are committed to that author’s works (you commented) and two that the job you read was worthy of being on the actual site. I suspect that members would only see the un-moderated view. It would not be visible to guest viewers. Additionally, even if they did see it, they cannot comment so that they would not be able to approve. It avoids
*****only members would be able to see the un-moderated posts************
****you can only vote to approve a post once, so the number for that post to be fully approved has to be greater than 2 votes approved!***********************
By the way, this would also create an automated way to move writers to the verified status. If you post in the un-moderated section and 10-20 of your posts are approved (and none are still in un-moderated longer than five days), you would become verified.
Please note, the numbers here are estimates, ideas, and starting points. If you have ever done brainstorming, you have to throw out what is called an anchor. You can then pivot on the anchor and move on, or you can discuss better numbers. There are a few numbers in this post; please feel free to share b3etter names if you have them in the comments.
The second part is just finishing up the categories versus fewer categories and more sub-categories.

The last one with the 10 approvals will solve the biggest issue of the moderators being swamped with posts since they are slothful about approving posts.
i agree I think it would help, Alibb points that 10 approvals might be hard for some to get, I just threw the number out.

Interesting results here. The moderation of the posts seems to be the most important.
i think there is a lot of frustration in the lack of moderation right now.
Absolutely and I don’t blame anyone for the frustration.
I completely agree, i suspect however if we had communication, then we would know why the delay in moderation and people might feel less stressed.
You know how I feel about that subject. No relationship can last without communication.
i think in this case communication would actually help them with these issues as well
Let’s just say I agree and hopefully things will improve. I have long thought that WTF button should be long gone,
I agree with Sandra and trust things will soon improve. I dislike the WTF button and wish it was gone and I want to be able to fix my faulty posts.
i do as well, that button should have been gone the first time we asked to have it removed 5 months ago.
i so (dancing on the table) agree!!!!!!
it is a weapon now, instead of what it was really meant for (I think IMHO) a what are you thinking, or your post is full of errors.
This button could really be removed. I think according to the current situation. Would publications receive sufficient consents (approval)?
Alibb asked the same question i don’t know. honestly, it would be a toss-up
I don’t think anyone knows that answer.
i would say the admin team, but i suspect they don’t know as well. We shall, as they say press on!
Seems like the WTF button is an issue here. I used it a few times, but to me it’s a button for “WTF, this is a crazy/awesome topic!” more than “WTF, your post sucks!” so yeah.
But I guess I should take this chance to apologise if I hurt someone’s feelings with that button! I just didn’t see it as the way you guys see it. But IF that button can cause much misunderstanding, then maybe it should be gone.
I voted for the more sub-category. I did vote for one more but I kinda regretted on that so I guess you can void that eventually.
Thanks pal sadly in the US and Europe WTF has a huge negative connotation.
THanks for voting – out of curiosity which one do you regret?
The last one of 10 approvals. I like that there are some criteria, but … I’ve mentioned before some great post might not even get that much approvals and some topics won’t have equal chance.
Programatically we have to create a threshold if they wish to maintain the current model.
I suspect the answer to your question is there are authors here that read everything they can. They would read the posts by authors and approve them.
as I said, it would have to be more than 1 approval, 10 was a number I threw out. May it is 5.
I agree with the threshold … I’ve to agree that a handful of authors that would approve on everything. And some would do that to get the needed amount of approvals too.
I guess the number is the difficult one to make. Too high and nothing really gets approved and too little, everything gets approved LOL
sadly we are in the nothing gets approved boat right now at all. You are right and i just don’t have a good answer to what the threshold should be.
Yah… I’ve posts sitting in pending for 7 days LOL. But oh well …
I guess there is only trial and error to come to the best figure. And I guess that it’s up to the admin also
i am sorry to hear you are waiting for your posts to be approved. it is very frustrating. some have waited more than 17 days this time.
Did you typed the “1” by accident!?!
17 days is A LOT!
sadly it is 18 now and yes the 1 was on purpose. I wish it were not
I chose my two, good luck and thank you!
i have to say one of your choices really surprised me, one did not
It was a hard decision. The one button needs to go away. It is away in for unwanted comments here. And those waiting to be moderated are waiting way too long.
that was the goal – make it hard so people choose the most important!
🙂
Success! You did good as usual.
it seems to have worked and no visits from the 3 WTF people!
