Always surprised at my Hibiscus blooming during the winter. I leave it on the deck during spring and summer. Butterflies and hummingbirds enjoy it.
Then I bring it indoors over the winter. Sometimes it blooms, sometimes not. It decided to bloom this winter. So exciting to have blooms indoors. This is a wonderful tree for anyone to have. It is a tropical plant, but does very well here in my area.
More of the little things that bring me peace and happiness.

Awe, now see. It does happen. I just posted about mine blooming on Christmas day a few weeks ago. Love that red. How do you keep the cats from messing with the wintering plants?
Yes it does some years. Amazing plant Kim. It is about six feet tall and brings joy year round. They have never tried. Not that I am aware of.
What is funny Kim, I have a big vase of feathers with a few plastic greenery that I love. But the Dude loves to chew on the plastic. So I have had to put it in a room and keep the door closed so he can’t get to it.
lol plastic, you’d think he would go after the feathers. Maybe you need to get his some rubber dog toys. hahaha. The Dude. Love it.
We have but one plant in the house and that one is going to my daughters because she will keep it alive!
this is a beautiful flower. I love the curtain in the background, we have the same curtains in our house!!!
I have a few green plants but this is the only bloom. Really! Behind that curtain are the doors leading to the screen room.

I don’t have a hibiscus but my neighbors just planted it as an ornamental tree and doesn’t bloom in winter

I have many orchids blooming during this period. I’ve never had a hibiscus. It’s beautiful.
Oh wow, I wish I could grow orchids. I have tried and failed many times. These are so easy to grow. It is about six feet tall.
Blooms always make my winter days more cheerful and colorful. Gorgeous hibiscus, I didn’t know they can be kept indoors.
I wasn’t sure they would survive over the winter, but I read about bringing them indoors. So I got one of those plant bases with wheels, so I can roll it into my bedroom from the deck for the winter!
