got 12 out of 16 right!
Very impressive, Edith! ๐
13 out of 16. I have a headache now. LMBO!
You got 11 out of 16 right!
Great
Interesting terms. I think like many others, I went for what language does the word sounds like and it helped me get this score. I shoudl have known about Ovi though but it’s a new term for me.
I was aware that many of the terms were quite obscure, and that it would be, to some extent, a question of recognising sound patterns. Some were misleading in this regard (e.g. Tenso does not sound at all like French), and Ovi is too short to make any judgement – in fact it is Marathi ๐
11/16. I hadn’t even heard of some of them, so will explore.. Thanks, as usual, I learned!
Best wishes for 2018
There’s a Wikipedia article for pretty much each of these, Kathy ๐ You did pretty well with 11, as many of the names are quite obscure!
Haha I’m such a poet, got 11 out of 16 right. Guessed at least 3 of those. Great quiz!
Very impressive, Vida! Many of there answers are very obscure ๐
12 out of 16, I was too confused on some of the terms ๐
You did well, Suny! Thanks for playing ๐
I got half of them correct…great quiz!
Well that’s a pass in my quizzes, especially in a hard one like this! Thanks for playing ๐
10 out of 16. I’ll tell you a secret: those I have never heard for I picked according to how they sound. ๐
That is an intelligent approach. I have also succeeded in many quizzes by the same method ๐ Thanks for playing Zakilne!
You’re welcome. ๐ And thanks for encouraging, I thought I was cheating. ๐
Sorry I don’t know any of these terms
all these questions are new to me
Geeze seven out of sixteen. lol. fun quiz though, at least i got the last one correct. Happy Yew Near!
Almost 50% ๐ I meant this to be a toughie and I think I succeeded ๐
Lots of guesses here but I did get the last one!
I’m relieved to hear that you got the last one ๐ ๐
I would be embarrassed to say if I did not. ๐
13/16 – I have to admit that many of these were completely new to me!
Well, you evidently exercised good judgement in guessing some of those you didn’t recognise ๐ Well done!
Yes, Norman, I tried playing the “what language is this?” game, and it usually worked! Also, I didn’t fall into the Limerick trap!
I’ll bet you fell into the “Tenso” trap, though! (France?!!)
You’re probably right – but I quite remember whether I went for Korea or Japan! ?
Oy vey, I didn’t do well at all. Got to go back and do more research about poetry!!
You got 6 out of 16 right!
Could be better
Thanks for playing, Elenka! It was a very difficult one ๐
Oh…8 out of 16. Not good. ?
50% is a pass, Cassy! Thanks for playing ๐
