It has been said that a myth is merely a religion that no-one believes in any longer. If any of these questions strike you as not falling into the category of myth, then my apologies are offered. However, that seems unlikely to me!

Mythology: a quiz

8 out of 10
Got 8/10…nice quiz 🙂
got 6 out of 10 right!
Got only 4
Six out of 10.
9/10 because I’ve never been to Piccdailly Circus
Piccadilly Circus is at one end of Shaftesbury Avenue, and the statue is a memorial to Lord Shaftesbury, the 19th century reformer who did much to make the lives of working-class children bearable. Although the statue purports to be Eros, it is actually modelled on an image of his brother, Anteros, who had a different role in the Greek Pantheon. The symbolism is quite complicated!
That’s disturbing to me and I hope I’m just mind-in-the-gutter but I really can’t put another read on it. I mean, even Ganymede would be an improvement…
6/10
