People who have never lived in the US often aren’t taught much about the history of this country. That is understandable. What is harder to grasp is that most of the people who have lived their entire lives in the US have also not been taught about most of that history. Americans tend not to know much about even the Presidents of the US.
Of course, this leaves it wide open for a quiz that can be fun, interesting, and which can edify people, all at the same time. Sometimes, the facts are astonishing. In this quiz, pictures of presidents are shown in the questions/answers, but the pictures have been chosen at random, so don’t answer based on the picture, even if you know which president is in the picture.

Too focused on things that don’t really matter. Most of the answers surprised me but it’s hard enough to keep up with the history that matters to bother learning all these little facts that don’t really affect what these men did in office.
That is true of trivia in general. The idea, though, is to spark an interest. Once there is an interest, a person can read about the history of each president before they were in office, as well as what they did when they were in office.
This was an interesting quiz, however, I only got one right and it was a guess.
That is actually a good thing. It means that there was plenty of new material to learn about. 🙂
It was interesting to get to know something about all these presidents. I did not know any of these things. Thanks for the lesson.
There are some surprises here even for people who are well versed in US history. 🙂
I got only 2 out of 10, but I really enjoyed this quiz, Rex. I’m going to send the link to my son, who is an expert on US political history, and see how well he does 🙂
Let me know how well he does, Norman! That will be interesting. There are quite a few people here in the US who are heavily into politics who wouldn’t score very high on this quiz.
This was a great quiz.
I’m very glad that you liked it!
One out of ten correct on this quiz. It was great to learn these items of our former Presidents.
Most people would probably find this quiz to be difficult, though some of the information is quite surprising.
Some of the facts of the former Presidents of the U S are amazing.
Yeah, I think my favorite is the first president who was born in a hospital.
That is true since I remember that Abe Lincoln was born in a log cabin.
I missed two, this was a great quiz.
That is a really good score! Way to go!
