Many common plants and flowers can be toxic for our pets. Even though some of these will not kill your pet, they can make them very sick.
You need to be aware of the ones that are on the list. There are many more out there, these are just some of the common plants.
Tulips
If you have them planted outside, or in a vase inside, they’re a big no-no for cats. While not fatal, taking a bite of tulips (especially the bulb) can cause oral irritation, excessive drooling and nausea.

Do you know which plants are safe for your pets?
-
Yes
-
No

To be honest those plants you mentioned are not familiar to me.
I think cats are smart about what they eat. Dogs are not.
Some cats are not with indoor plants.
That is true, some cats are smarter than others. Some cats get sick because they eat what is not good for them.
Yes, I have caught mine digging in the dirt of my indoor plants.
Yes, some cats do that, nuisance.
Thank you Carol, for this helpful information.
You are very welcome, I hope it helped.
Very important and useful information! I didn’t know about the tulips. Gorgeous photo, by the way!
Thanks, I hope the tulips do as well this year.
That’s why I had no information.
It is useful if you have animals.
I thought animals were supposed to know which types of things were safe to eat
Ha! Yep you would think so as smart as they are.
there’s a theory that primitive man watched what the animals were eating to see what was safe
Makes sense to me. But some indoor plants are too convenient for bored cats sometimes.
and then, domesticated cats may be less in touch with their instincts than feral cats? or am I reaching?
The list is very large … our cat is walking outside and has not yet been poisoned by flowers
These are mostly indoor plants.
Thank you for sharing. The list is very long. I have to be very careful about Miki.
You are welcome, there are many plants that are dangerous.
Unfortunately, I did not know that so many flowers are dangerous for our pets
Yes, this doesn’t mean they could die, but they could become sick if ingested.
I really have no idea … I don’t have pets that run around …
Then this does not pertain to you. I was asked earlier about tulips. They can be toxic.
Hope your day is better today.
Thank you, my day is better… 🙂
And, well it’s still good to gain knowledge 🙂
I am so glad to hear your day is better.
This is important for my three cats. Thank you, Carol. Fortunately, almost all of the plants were not in my place except bonsai azaleas. A year ago I had aloe vera but some of my neighbors had asked for various needs.
You are welcome. LaJenna asked me earlier about tulips, and they can be toxic.
