it is there in the edge of the blue
the moment the state of the fluid changed
from the air to the surface
from the surface to the dream
and then back again. flowing away from the sand
the sand grabbing with tiny fingers
digging in to hold on but
the water moves away.
there at the edge of blue.
the water finds its level above the clutching
fingers of the sand it flows as if
its field changing
its state
relaxed.
filling holes that don’t exist
to lave only
sand
clutching at the air
falling to the ground.

I’am going to guess somewhere near Grand Canyon.
just north off Kabul Afghanistan, it is untouched by the war so it still looks similar.
Wow, it looks very nice over there
it is a beautiful land – just a little war-torn.
I imagine so. It would be nice to visit that area.
i was there 40 years ago i don’t know what it looks like now.
Such a lovely and peaceful photo for a country like Afghanistan. Love the poetry
thanks – you need to share more poems, please!!!!
In that case, I will have to open my secret folder. In it, I have some poems that at one time I was inspired to write as part two of Disney movies as to what happens after they live happily ever after. So the stories of some of the characters continue in my poems. According to me, did you know that the evil queen in Snow White did not die after falling from the cliff?
i did not know that, i suspect there is a poem about her hanging onto a limb, struggling not to fall and then pulled to safety by gnomes!
I guessed it right, but maybe I was influenced by your previous post.
that is ok, we call that an educated guess!!
I didn’t know where the picture was taken. I learned from the comments.
it is a very special picture. On our way home (we were headed for Paris) my dad spent time teaching me how to take pictures.
This is one of those. I took one with my camera as well!!! (looks similar).
I see form your comments it was Afghanistan. I thought it looked familiar from the news. Nic poem and flow Doc.
it is actually a part of that country that has not been ravaged by the war. My dad took the picture. I took the same one!
Oh I can’t imagine where that picture was taken. To hazard a guess, I would say Israel or somewhere like that?
just outside Kabul Afganistan!
I have no idea where this could be painted …. the landscape is quite similar to Croatia
Kabul Afganistan, but you could go to any place with mountains and it would be similar!
I would never guess ….. It really is a very similar landscape
moutains are moutains until they are not as tall and covered by trees.
