Thursday’s Reflections – A little bird

Yesterday, after my 24-hour shift, I went for a walk to Laguna La Mata National Park in Torrevieja, Spain. Everything there is natural. Undoubtedly one of the most valuable species in the park is the common flamingo, which reaches 2000 specimens during the breeding season. It is also important to have black-throated cabbage with up to 3000 specimens.

Of the other birds, I also emphasize stilts, the angelfish, the marsh warbler, the saber-billed warbler, the sea bustard, the common tern, the tern and the marmot.

Finally, it is important to note the presence of brined shrimp, a rare crustacean, due to the high level of salinity it needs in the waters in which it lives.

Unfortunately, the filming locations are closed due to the pandemic. I couldn’t take close-up photos. This is a photo of a relatively small Himantop bird (which species is due to its long legs stilts.)
