I did these pictures a couple of minutes ago. I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures, but I decided to show you the sky before the storm. Lightning for some time now light up the sky. Although I’m afraid lightning I had to do some pictures from my terrace. The sky was enlightened as it was day. Lightning is a natural phenomenon that can be observed in storms, especially during the hot summer months. It is a result of mixing warm and cold air flows. The view of the sky is unique but the feelings are not pleasant. Now it started raining (it’s 11 o’clock in the evening) and I hope that we will not have any kind of bad storm.

Wow, these are some fantastic captures! I like watching lightnings (when they are far away), but I am scared of the thunder sounds.

Most in New Zealand have no reason to be scared of lightning or thunder because we only get sheet lightning not forked lightning. There has been the odd occasion where we do get forked lightning

Our dogs are terrified of thunder. But for me, it is just the reality of cloud air and hot air releasing energy.
Yes, I know that dogs are very afraid of lightning. I had a dog, now I have a cat who is also afraid of lightning.
we had a Lab before, Fran, who didn’t care at all about Thunder. Now the two just shiver!
