did they melt or in falling
find some crack
some crevice
in which to disappear.
Laughing
the rose petals twirl around
spinning endlessly
until
one petal
sick from dizziness
crashes
into the ground
and
then
slips into the crevice
never to be seen again.
The others
forming a petal chain
but to no avail
once out of sight
out of mind
and forgotten
the petals drift
in the dust-filled light
never
to return.

Nice poetry and photo like flowers
Thanks Pam, it is a very old poem!
Wonderful poetry. Yes, I have enjoyed just watching flowers.
There is such magic in watching flowers!
As you must have noticed, I admire the flowers. I admire and notice every flower.
I have. I love your walk pictures with flowers!
Absolutely I sit and watch flowers often. Your poem describes perfectly the process. The good thing about flowers, most of them continue reproducing blooms throughout the season.
As a young person (wrote this when I was 19) i struggled with flowers. Not the beauty but the meaning beyond!
Poetry, you are very gifted, dear friend … a beautiful song
That you so much for the kind words. It is a hobby of mine!
With great pleasure, dear friend
nice poem….Thank you for sharing
I actually wrote this when I was 19 years old. So a few years ago.
