Due to the lack of wind, it has been quite foggy and cloudy here during the last few days. This means no blue skies or colorful sunsets, and the air is quite unpleasant. I almost jokingly got a small air ionizer and I was quite surprised that it actually made the air in the room feel much cleaner.
This photo is from last week, and I hope I will be seeing another sunset like this one soon. Is the air in your town clean these days? Were you able to enjoy some beautiful sunrise or sunset views?

Is Bulgaria highly polluted?…..Which town are you from, dear Ellie?
It depends. A big part of the polution is due to outdated cars and methods of home heating, but in Sofia there are geographical reasons for the pollution to stay in. The city is surrounded by mountains and when there’s no wind, it’s like there’s a “lid” that keeps the smoke and fog in place.
This is very similar to Ljubljana ….. it lies in a basin except that they have significantly reduced pollution there
Hopefully, we can do that here too.
sadly there are few places on earth with clean air anymore.

The air in the city is always polluted, dusty , dirty and unhealthy.

been rainy and windy lately, which does wonders for air quality
Depending on the winds and temperatures, the Denver metro area can get smoggy on some days. Yesterday didn’t look too bad, but today it looked like there was a brown haze hanging over the downtown area.
That’s unpleasant, clean air is something we don’t think much of until we lose it.
