Today has been another hot day. Labor Day today. A holiday celebrated every first Monday in September. The first Labor Day in the US was celebrated in 1882. And has been officially celebrated each year. Most everyone has the day off. However in the last few years, most retailers are open, so many workers are actually working than before.
The bees are working in my backyard. I went out briefly for a few shots of them. They were enjoying my sedum on the deck. I got a few shots. The sun came out and I could hardly see the sun was so bright. The sedum is often called a snack food for the bees. The photo above is a big bumble bee sunning himself. Hoping you all had a great day. And yes they got tired of my camera clicking, so I stopped. At one time I counted four bees on one flower. And two different varieties. More photos to come.

They sure don’t take the day off do they. Happy for you, that is a great shot. Love the blush color of the just opening sedum.
No they don’t Kim, at any time when I look out on the deck, there are at least two bees. I need more of this sedum, love it. It is just starting the fall phase.
I havent had much luck with it. I think the ground is too salty.
I am glad about your idea to combine and align labor/workers with bumblebee.
I really admire that cool photo!
And I enjoy learning about nature
Thank you Albert. I combine nature with all aspects of my life, I just didn’t realize until I started posting here.
An awareness can come in all unexpected ways, right?
Indeed it can Albert. Nature has taught me that as well as life.
I am sure that you are filled with blessings from life and the universe, Carol.
WOW!!
That is really a good subject for labour day!!
But are the bees tired of your clicking or they’re think of new poses?
LOL
Both I think. They never left the flowers just moved to a different one.
Going outside to see the wonderful world God has created in one word. Awesome.
Good for you I hope you enjoy. Nice new profile pic by the way.
I was going to put a picture of a former Major League Baseball pitcher but it did not look nice since the image was from the lower torso area. The image are the three actresses who are in the Broadway show about the late Donna Summer.
Nice choice, I never would have guessed.
I have never heard of these actresses either who played the role of the late Diva in a Broadway show. It is funny that Donna Summer seems to more famous now compared to when she was alive.
Flower and bee equally nice.
Thanks very much the sun faded out the pink but I have more pics.
Are your hospital emergency wards, full of pregnant women?
Ha! I hope we see more bees we sure need them.
oh yeah We sure need them. I was a favorite meal of the bees though
What? You were the meal… I love the honey.
Ahhh yeah I was, I always been stung by a bee everywhere we go.
I think these bees like you Carol, as they are so patient in posing.
I could not believe it Ann. There were four at one time, I was clicking away. I have a ton of photos and this was on my deck. Exciting.
Again a great shot and a beautiful picture
Thanks a lot for your comment.
